NBU exchange rates in Power BI

A ready Power Query that loads the National Bank of Ukraine’s official rates and refreshes with your report, plus a measure that converts amounts into the currency you need.

  1. Home → Get data → Blank query → Advanced editor, paste the code.
  2. Name the query as in the field above and choose Close & apply.
  3. When asked how to connect, choose Anonymous: the NBU API is public.

The NBU sets rates on working days. The query asks for one currency and one year at a time, which lets the API accept any period.

For large tables it’s faster to add the rate to the sales table in Power Query (merge on date and currency) and use a simple sum.
